Description of Winter Mongolia
Following the success of the first edition in 2019, TIF is organizing a trip to Mongolia during Chinese New Year holidays. It is a unique opportunity to discover the amazing Mongolian countryside in winter, which very few tourists have done.
TIF ensures that the trip is very cosy and comfortable. Accommodation is a five-star resort in the Terelj National Park. Modern cars are used for transportation from the resort to airport and to activities.
Activities include dog sledge, walk on frozen rivers, horse riding, possibly skiing and lunch around a camp fire if the weather permits.
Fund raising event - 100% of the benefits will be used by TIF to run the day care center in Ulaanbaatar.

Agenda
The agenda is built around one main optional activity per day. Such activity is not a must do, participants are free to chose. Each will also have a lot of free time to relax at the lodge or to take a walk outside and visit the surrounding areas of the national park.
- Saturday, January 25th 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM: Flight to Mongolia. Pick-up at the airport and transfer to the lodge
- Sunday, January 26th 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Dog sledge and short hike on frozen river. Lunch at the dogs camp.
- Monday, January 27th 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Horse riding or skiing. Lunch around a camp fire by the side of a frozen river.
- Tuesday, January 28th 8:00 AM: Transfer to airport and flight back to country of origin.
Accommodation
TIF booked the luxurious Terelj Mountain Lodge. A very comfortable and luxurious while cosy lodge located inside the Terelj Natural Park.
It is perfectly suited for winter with warm rooms, large indoor dinning room with fire place, and comfortable toilets / showers. See some pictures below.
Note that the Mongolian Gers accommodate three or four people, and that the rooms accommodate either two people, or a family / group of friends. You can choose your preferred room at registration.

Registration Fee
The cost of the event is 8,000 hkd, 15,000 hkd for a couple, and each children registers for 5,000 hkd.
TIF will take care of everything, it is a fully organized trip from the moment you land in Mongolia until your departing flight. Breakfasts and lunches at activities are included and participants will only pay for diners at the lodge.
Arrival date is 25th January, departure date is 28th January.
As for previous trips organized by TIF each participant must buy his plane ticket to go to & return from the Ulaanbaatar international airport. TIF will pick you at the airport and at the end of the trip will drive you back to the airport for your departure.
Traveling to Mongolia
We advise you to book your flight with the Mongolian airline MIAT. It has a very good safety record and a code sharing with Cathay Pacific. The direct flight is only 4h30m. There is a direct flight with MIAT departing from HK on Saturday 25th January, with the returning flight on Tuesday 28th January. Book directly on MIAT's website.
Alternatively you can select Air China or Korean Air with one stopover from HK.
For HK residents public holidays for CNY are from the Saturday 25th to Tuesday 28th January inclusive.
Weather in Mongolia
Winter is cold, you need to bring very warm clothes. Best way to prepare is to compare the outdoor activities to a cold day skiing in the mountain.
